**Overview**

The High School Program Manager (Upper-Class Cohorts) supports the Mission and Values of Boys Hope Girls Hope by overseeing the Academy Programs for the HIgh School Upper-Class scholars, including test preparation. Responsibilities include case management, test preparation support, recruitment, public relations, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth program operation. The Associate High School Program Manager reports to the Program Director.

**Major Responsibilities**
- Program Management _
- Work with the Program Director to develop annual goals for the Academy Program for the assigned cohorts.
- Monitor and report on program performance, soliciting input from staff to enhance programming.
- Assist with planning and implementation of the Summer Program and activities.
- Assist with the recruitment, selection, and training of college interns and other volunteers for the summer program as necessary.
- Identify and secure resources needed for afternoon enrichment programs.
- Recruiting/Public Relations
- Participate in new scholar recruitment as directed by the Program Director.
- Develop and maintain relationships with pertinent school personnel.
- Assist in outreach activities to promote and secure resources for BHGH.
- Serve as a key liaison to School Tuition Organization (STO) partners and assist with the process for all scholars and families.
- Represent BHGH positively in all interactions with scholars, parents, schools, mentors, community members, donors, volunteers, and board members.
- Direct Services to Scholars _
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate programming for Junior Academy Scholars, enhancing their academic, emotional, social, spiritual, and physical development.
- Manage an assigned caseload of Academy scholars:

- Prepare and conduct service plans and service plan reviews for each scholar attending a partner school.
- Coordinate meetings with scholars to monitor grades, behavior, and progress.
- Identify needed interventions and procure resources (e.g., tutors, counselors).
- Maintain regular communication with teachers, parents, tutors, counselors, and mentors of assigned scholars.
- Ensure scholar participation in test preparation activities and grade-specific events (e.g., SAT/ACT prep courses, college prep workshops).
- Administrative and Data Management _
- Supervise the after-school program, summer program, and special activities for the scholars.
- Maintain discipline and focus on tasks, effectively addressing behavior problems when necessary.
- Research and plan community service projects and local events.
- Track and document each scholar’s progress and achievements.
- Incorporate the mentoring program into each scholar’s individual service plan.
- Maintain all required scholar and program files in a timely manner in accordance with BHGH standards.
- Assist with the collection and inputting of data relevant to the Academy Program.
- Assist with data analysis when necessary.
- Provide input to the Program Director in developing the program’s operational and capital budget.
- Handle Critical Incidents and crisis situations in conjunction with the Program Director.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work, Human Services Administration, Sociology, Criminal Justice, or a related field, and two years of experience in educational programs, test preparation, teaching or working with Upper Classmen in High School.
- Applicant must be 21 years of age.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Competencies include the ability to interpret testing and evaluations, computer proficiency, problem-solving and critical thinking skills, sensitivity to different religious backgrounds and cultures, professional work habits and dress, goal setting and implementation, constructive feedback and supervision of staff, and clear and effective communication with various audiences.

**Working Conditions**
- Primarily office-based with travel to partner schools in the city.
- Occasional travel within the US for meetings or training.
- Regular office hours with frequent evening and weekend hours.
- Longer might be required during peak program activities.
- Annual participation in continuing education

- Moderate to loud work environment with regular computer and phone use.

Pay: From $48,000.00 per year
