Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Phoenix Elementary School District #1. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance in the development and maintenance of a total School Health Program.
Key Responsibilities- Manage health care services within the School Health Program
- Deliver health services to students, including health appraisals, health counseling, and special education programs
- Implement the prevention and control of communicable diseases in the school
- Assist with plans to promote a healthy and safe environment
- Provide health education and serve as a liaison among parents, school, and community health matters
- Care for the sick and injured in the school
- Provide onsite in-service and training to staff
- Current license to practice as a Practical Nurse in Arizona
- Two years of successful clinical nursing practice as an LPN
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) proficiency is preferred
- Knowledge of the total School Health Program, specific school nursing responsibilities, and public health principles
The work environment is quiet to moderate, and the position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff.
