Family Care Coordinator

Ballard-Durand Funeral Home is looking to bring on an innovative position - that of a family care coordinator, who will function as the continuum of care between our licensed funeral directors and the families that we serve. The person in this role will be working hand-in-hand with our funeral directors across Ballard-Durand's three locations in Westchester (White Plains, Elmsford and Hawthorne) to support the logistics and execution of funeral services for families.
1. Coordinate the ordering of out-of-house services and products, such as military services, catering, videotaping of services, etc.
2. Coordinate and execute in-house services and products, such as video tributes, personalized stationery, legacy videos, etc.
3. Provide coordination of services between funeral director and families from first call/meeting to end of the services and aftercare support provided.
4. Inspect and double check each room prior to beginning time to ensure all gatherings are ready.
5. Type obituaries, send to family for approval and submit to media if needed.
6. Provide updates to family about death certificate status.
7. Additional support to ensure timely and efficient delivery of services to families with the utmost care.
This position is for someone who has a deep passion for caring for others, has effective time management skills and is self-driven.

We provide compassionate care and funeral planning across all religions, cultures and backgrounds for traditional burial services, entombments, cremations, green burials, religious services, secular celebrations and memorial services. Our free community outreach events provide healing experiences throughout the year to help those that are grieving get back to living well again. Our advance planning advisors help educate the Westchester community on how to make informed choices for themselves ahead of time, so that their families will have peace-of-mind knowing everything was planned for in advance. All of our facilities are designed with the technology and functionality that put you, your family and your guests first.
Pay: $52,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
