Manager/supervisor Short-term Residential

Harvest Safe Haven (HSH) is a 6-bed Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program for male residents ages 12-19 licensed by the Department of Social Services. HSH is Mental Health Program approved by DHCS and nationally accredited through CARF International. HSH is located in Riverside, CA.
HSH is referred by Riverside County DPSS and San Bernardino County DCFS. Experience in working with Juvenile Delinquents is strongly required.
HSH is currently seeking to hire a knowledgeable and experienced professional with group home/STRTP experience to fill the position of Manager.
**Direct Care Responsibilities**:
- Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
- Coordinate all aspects of life in the STRTP.
- Ensure that the residents complete daily personal care routines.
- Review medical needs of residents; schedule appointments with medical providers.
- Monitor food preparation, ensuring that meals are properly prepared in accordance with established standards.
- Attend scheduled meetings (e.g. IEP’s, CFT's)
- Direct and supervise all activities of direct care staff.
- Coordinate activities of both staff and employees.
- Maintain and reconcile petty cash fund accurately as needed.
- Manage individual records and ensure that documentation by staff is correct and meets guidelines.
- Receive, review, process, file and submit a variety of documents and reports (e.g. personnel information, visitation/contact sheets, goals, daily notes, special incident reports, etc).
- Oversee overall cleanliness of facility and environment.
- Adhere to the principles of the Harvest Safe Haven for Boys Training Curriculum.
- Establish a positive, therapeutic relationship with youth in placement.
- Plan activities in the home and community.
- Assist youth in achieving his goals as determined by team.
- Complete written documentation as required in a timely manner.
- Provide quality supervision, care and treatment for the youth.
- Shop for household supplies, cooks and cleans as needed.
- Report emergencies to the Administrator and Director.
- Be available on an on-call rotation to cover weekends and weekday nights.
**Manager shall meet one of the following requirements prior to employment**:
- Have a Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree;
- Have a valid Child Development Teaching Permit;
- Have completed 12 semester units of Early Childhood Education, Adolescent Development, or Foster and Kinship Care Education and have at least 100 hours of experience working with youth;
- Have a valid certificate as an Alcohol Counselor, Drug Counselor or Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and have at least 100 hours of experience working with youth;
- Have a valid Vocational Training certificate, credential or documentation demonstrating that the individual is a trade journey person who instructs children in vocational skills and have at least 100 hours of experience working with youth; or
- Have previously been employed as a staff or volunteer at a group home or short-term residential therapeutic center for at least one year.
- Have relevant experience as determined by the department to meet any of the above requirements.
**Must pass live scan and background check (DOJ, FBI, Child Abuse).**
**Must have a clean driving record.**
**Bilingual (Spanish) is highly desirable.**
