We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Early Childhood Education to oversee the daily operations of our childcare center. The Director will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education for young children, managing staff, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations, maintaining and establishing relationships with local and county health departments, marketing, recruitment, customer relations, financial responsibility and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for all children.

**Responsibilities**:

- Communication: The Board of Directors must be apprised promptly of all critical areas of responsibility including serious student/parent scenarios, employee issues and any other HR-related events.
- Recruitment/Human Resources: Recruit, hire, train, and supervise childcare staff, ensuring they adhere to all center policies and procedures. Conduct regular assessments of staff performance and provide constructive feedback and support for professional development.
- Customer Service: The Director must communicate effectively and efficiently with parents by communicating curriculum, events, addressing concerns, providing updates on progress, and fostering positive relationships.
- Education: Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of children. Works to ensure that the staff is effectively trained on curriculum and established early childhood principles. Works to get program to plan 3 with licensing and maintains this standard once it is met.
- Health and Safety: Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by implementing and enforcing accurate and up to date health and safety protocols, emergency procedures, and sanitation standards by staying in compliance and accreditation with all federal, state and local regulations.
- Finance/Accounting: Manage budgetary responsibilities, including monitoring expenses, maximizing revenue, and seeking opportunities for funding or grants (experience with CACFP food program is preferred).
- Community Relations: Collaborate with community organizations, educational institutions, and other stakeholders to enhance the quality of childcare services and promote the center's mission.
- Facility Management: Oversee all aspects of daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, and program implementation. Experience with the Texas Rising Star program is preferred. Completes all required paperwork and record-keeping accurately and timely in compliance with state and federal regulations. This includes, but is not limited to student, employee, vehicle, driver, health, and safety records.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in childcare administration or leadership role.
- Knowledge of child development principles, early childhood education best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff to provide exceptional care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience with Procare preferred.
- Familiarity with childcare management software and technology tools preferred.

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
