Evergreen School is an independent, accredited Montessori school serving children ages 2-9-years in our Toddler, Early Childhood (Primary), and Lower Elementary (grades 1-3) programs across two campuses in Silver Spring and Rockville, MD.

Key Responsibilities:

to help oversee and optimize the administrative and operational functions of our two campuses (Rockville and Silver Spring). The ideal candidate will be passionate about education, have a strong background in operational management, and possess a deep understanding of early childhood educational practices. This 12-month role is crucial in ensuring a safe, efficient, and nurturing environment for our students, staff, and community.

Operational Management:

Develop, implement, and monitor operational policies and procedures to ensure smooth school operations.

Oversee the maintenance and management of school facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.

Foster a positive relationship with Church landlords.

Manage the procurement and maintenance of supplies and equipment.

Support facility enhancement initiatives including work with contractors and cleaning crew.

Financial Oversight:

Work with the Business Office to monitor expenditures and ensure financial efficiency and compliance with the school’s budget.

Program Support:

Support the Assistant Head of School for Academics and Programs to support teachers and assistant teachers.

Work with the Assistant Head and the Director of Child Care to create program schedules.

Student and Parent Relations:

Serve as a point of contact for parents regarding operational concerns and inquiries.

Support the Director of Admission with events, tours, and enrollment.

Lead marketing initiatives including fliers, social media, digital projects, and other graphic design initiatives as needed.

Compliance and Safety:

Work with the Director of Child Care to ensure the school adheres to local, state, and federal regulations and with the Assistant Head to adhere to Montessori and AIMS accreditation standards.

Technology and Data Management:

Oversee the school’s information technology systems, infrastructure, and communication tools.

Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting as necessary. Work with vendors and service providers to make repairs when needed.

Support teachers’ use of professional technology

Manage student records including health records, medical forms, permission forms, and progress reports ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

Manage and update the school database.

Utilize data to inform operational decisions and improvements.
