Ministry with Community (MwC) is a non-profit organization located in Kalamazoo, MI. We are a daytime shelter and resource center, open 365 days a year from 6:30 am-4:00 pm. **Position Overview**

The Administrative Assistant provides direct support to the Executive Director, the Board of Directors and the management team by scheduling and attending meetings, maintaining notes and minutes of meetings, and keeping a flow of communications. Attention to detail, confidentiality and excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written, are paramount. The Administrative Assistance also supports donation processing, restocking of office supplies, processing payroll with our accountants and other tasks, including general clerical, data entry, reception and project-based work.

The Administrative Assistant must demonstrate compassion, integrity and trust. This individual must uphold the highest standards of ethics and values in alignment with the mission of Ministry with Community.

**Hours**

This is a full-time position. Hours are typically scheduled Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm. Ministry with Community is open 6:30am-4:00pm, 365 days/year; hours may vary

**Position Requirements**
- Minimum of 1 year of successful administrative support experience or the equivalent.
- Ability to communicate with others quickly and effectively with outstanding oral and written communication skills.
- Outstanding attention to detail with extremely high accuracy.
- Proficiency in common computer software, including Zoom, MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Ability to work on a computer for prolonged periods, bend, twist, stoop, lift and reach is required. Occasional lifting/moving objects of up to 20 pounds at one time.
- Ability to learn quickly, the desire to continue to learn, and exhibit creative problem-solving.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Commitment to the highest level of customer service for both internal and external stakeholders: members, volunteers, colleagues, donors, etc.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships and actively cultivate an inclusive working environment.

**Essential Functions**

1. First and foremost, place MwC member needs and the MwC mission front and center in all processes, decisions, tasks, work and efforts.

2. Actively support the Board of Directors and Executive Director in carrying out strategic goals and objectives.

3. Complete administrative and clerical duties such as filing, printing, mailing, typing, copying, scanning, sorting and distribution of mail, processing and tracking accounts payable.

5. Actively participate in and contribute to staff meetings on a regular basis.

6. Ensure that office supplies are stocked or on order within budgetary constraints.

7. Resolve issues or arrange for necessary repairs of office equipment.

8. Assist with database management, donation processing and donor tracking.

9. Support payroll and other human resource tasks.

11. Support staff with technology needs and access to needed documents.

12. Other duties as assigned.

**Wage and Benefits**

$18.00 per hour, plus benefits.
