The Miami Workers Center is seeking a full-time Worker Cooperative Administrator that will be responsible for the successful operation of two worker-led cooperatives, a cleaning cooperative and a home health staffing cooperative.

The Administrator is responsible for overseeing members' work and the successful delivery of services aligning with the membership's best interests. This role must maintain a superior level of financial reporting and be able to work collaboratively with the membership and across cultures. The administrator must be able to make recommendations on policy and process and problem-solve under pressure.

The role will carry on the business of the cooperatives under the direction set by the board of directors of the cooperatives and the Executive Director and will act on the member’s behalf in all matters related to the cooperative’s operations. The administrator will not have the authority to hire or fire members of the cooperative.

The Miami Workers Center (MWC) organizes towards dignity, power, and self-determination with workers, tenants, women, and families across Miami. We fight for the rights, resources, and respect our community deserves. Our members are working-class Black and Brown women who hail from Latin America, the Caribbean, and African American communities of Miami-Dade. Our members are predominantly tenants, and many work in the cleaning and caring economies as domestic, child & homecare workers both formally and informally. We believe in self-determination over our bodies, our homes, our labor, our land. We believe in a Miami where all of us can live, work, and grow in our full dignity.

You are eager to strengthen the cooperative economics/solidarity economy movement locally and nationally, especially with immigrant communities. You are a dynamic, strategic, out-of-the-box thinker who takes responsibility for the incubation of new cooperative businesses, supports the growth of launched businesses, troubleshoots challenges, conducts outreach, and finds new opportunities for the program and its clients. You excel at coordinating with people and bringing them together to create and work towards a common vision. You will serve as the key point-of-contact for the cooperatives and oversee the implementation of business and industry trainings for our worker cooperatives. You are mission driven and excited about building power with workers and immigrants. You are looking to transform systems and institutions that exploit workers.

You are a dynamic, strategic, self-starter who has demonstrated experience managing small businesses with diverse people. You are mission-driven and excited about developing new skills and relationships. You have excellent emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills. You are someone who is interested in practicing a collaborative form of management, someone who can strike a balance between deciding with the workers and acting independently on behalf of the businesses. While the basic functions of running a cooperative business are the same as running a non-cooperative business, the administrator at a cooperative must also be able to foster a community that empowers and uplifts members. As a person new to the cooperative business model, you find excitement in learning new ways of work and unlearning old ideas and practices, and have a strong interest in building relationships with the workers, the members and our staff to be the key piece that binds it all together. You are looking to make an impact and advance effective efforts for building the power of working-class people who call Miami home

**Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities**
- Directs daily business activities of the cooperative
- Identifies and implements the organizational and management structure and processes, such as client management system and customer satisfaction process
- Provides leadership in the development of strategic long-range plans that include an established process of checking in with workers, creating a system for continuous feedback and improvement on the business' operations
- Provides direction in formulating programs and policies that are guided and in the best interest of the cooperatives
- Support the efforts of members to grow and manage their cooperative businesses through individual and group leadership and development coaching
- Provides leadership on data collection, recording, and reporting systems
- Facilitate regular team meetings and share goals and results
- Liaison to Board of Directors: report progress and make recommendations; develop an annual operating budget with input from managers and submit to the Board for approval; assist in the review of the cooperative's financial status
- Manage financial resources according to budget and revenue projections
- Participates in the hiring, orientation, and development of all staff
