Job Summary:
The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking a detailed, organized and motivated individual to perform full administrative and secretarial functions of a confidential nature for the Complex Warden. This position is responsible for daily communications, meetings, filing, organizing, updating policies, report writing and coordinating special events at the Arizona State Prison Complex - Winslow.

Job Duties:

- Composes correspondence and uses computer equipment in the completion of job assignments
- Compiles and prepares weekly and monthly reports
- Updates Department policy manual
- Types meeting minutes
- Completes special projects
- Creates, organizes, and maintains confidential and administrative files
- Logs, tracks, copies, and forwards responses for correspondence and documentation
- Responsible for maintaining filing
- Collects and distributes all incoming and outgoing staff/Department mail
- Answers, screens, and refers calls appropriately
- Coordinates special events, meetings, and fundraising events
- Drives on State business
- Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
Knowledge of:

- Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) Personnel Rules and ADCRR policies and procedures
- Written and verbal communication
- Grammatical formatting, using concise, specific and correct non-technical language
- Computer usage and various software programs (Microsoft Office and Google Suite)
- Techniques in screening incoming calls, visitors, and telephone calls

Skill in:

- Problem-solving and time management
- Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships
- Tact in dealing with the public and staff both in-person and via telephone
- Handling multiple tasks
- Working within a team
- Self-motivation and working under mínimal supervision

Ability to:

- Provide effective assistance to employees

- Plan, coordinate activities, and establish priorities
- Develop effective operating procedures
- Work effectively under a short deadline
- Maintain confidentiality
- Work in a prison environment

Selective Preference(s):

- Two (2) years of professional office experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office & Google Suite

Pre-Employment Requirements:
