We're hiring a full-time Supervisor Telemetry and TeleSitter Hub at the University of Chicago Medical Center in Hyde Park, Illinois
**Job Summary**
The Supervisor of the Telemetry and TeleSitter Hub provides oversight for the operations of the central monitoring department to include monitoring capacity, scheduling issues, equipment functionality and human resource management.
**Primary Job Functions**
- Responsible for the supervision of the day-to-day performance of Cardiac Monitor Technicians and TeleSitters as well as the overall operations of the department.
- Serves as a role model and demonstrates clinical expertise in ECG and AvaSure video monitoring.
- Performs both roles when needed to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
- Participates in the recruitment, selection, onboarding, scheduling and assigning of staff.
- Manages monitoring equipment to include addressing equipment repairs or needs and management of upgrades.
- Ensures availability of portable monitors.
- Performs other duties as assigned which may include data management, audits, and quality improvement projects.
**Required Qualifications**
- At least 2 years of experience as Telemetry Technician required
- Healthcare leadership / lead technician experience preferred
- Certification as ECG monitoring technician preferred
**Licenses/Certifications**:
- High School diploma. Bachelor’s degree in health science or similar preferred
- Certified Technician. Specialty certification required.
