DC Central Kitchen seeks a Development Operations Manager to join our dynamic team and support our mission of using food as a tool to strengthen bodies, empower minds, and build communities. Reporting to the Director of Development as part of a supportive and mission-driven team, the Development Operations Manager is responsible for organizing and managing essential functions of our Salesforce database management and hygiene, data reporting and analysis, and project management for annual campaigns, including direct mail campaigns, the annual report, and gift processing and acknowledgements, among other projects. This individual will bring experience and skills in people management, systems thinking, donor stewardship, financial management, and nonprofit innovation.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Oversee all gift entry and processing efforts; collection, coding, recording, and acknowledgement of all donations and monetary contributions, including donor advised funds, stock donations and multi-year gifts/pledges.
- Serve as primary database administrator for Causeview, Conga, iATS, and Salesforce, our primary donor management systems. Relevant responsibilities include managing vendor relationships, ensuring high levels of data integrity, and maintaining accurate, detailed instructions for our core business processes.
- Manage departmental reporting and data analysis. This includes reconciling monthly revenue with DCCK’s Finance Department, generating our monthly Development Revenue report, and managing our reporting to external non-donor entities like Guidestar.
- Assist Director of Development and Donor Relations Specialist in managing all corporate matching programs and workplace giving portals, and working with donor advised fund representatives,
- Fulfill the lead project management role in executing DCCK’s direct donor appeals, including managing the planning calendar and mail house services, coordinating appeal production and fundraising goal tracking, partnering with DCCK’s Communications team to build online promotion plans, and creating appropriate mailing lists and ask strings with input from the CDO and Director of Development.
- Support the production of DCCK’s annual report to donors and other key stakeholders by contributing to the overall theme, delivery strategy, and content as well as providing accurate donor lists reflecting donor preferences and histories.
- Provide outstanding and timely service to all current and prospective donors, and provide logístical support to donor-centric events.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Evident passion for DC Central Kitchen’s mission and programs.
- 3 - 5 years of nonprofit fundraising experience; 1 - 2 years of personnel management experience.
- Significant prior experience with donor database/CRM software is required (Salesforce expertise strongly preferred), as well as excellent proficiency with MS Office, especially Word and Excel.
- Strong writing, research, financial, and data analysis skills.
- Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred; a relevant advanced degree is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience processing an array of charitable gifts (e.g. stock gifts, recurring gifts, donor advised funds, and multi-year pledges) and managing donor acknowledgement efforts.
- Understanding of direct mail best practices, including mailing logistics and vendor management.
- A relentless self-starter capable of making sound, ethical, independent judgements, sometimes on the fly.
- Desire to be part of a fast-paced, high-energy, and collaborative team of high-performing development professionals.
- May need to work occasional evenings and weekends.
- Capable of independent local travel.
