**Laboratory Support Technician**

Michelson Laboratories, Inc. is a Food and Environmental Testing laboratory in City of Commerce that is rapidly growing. We have a wide range of internal laboratories, including Microbiology, Chemistry, Instrumentation, Entomology, Environmental, and Proximate. Michelson Laboratories, Inc. is a top-tier Testing laboratory that has assembled a renowned team of scientific experts and is well known within the scientific community and food industry. Michelson Laboratories, Inc. is making a major commitment to expanding its professional team. We are looking for a full-time and part-time experienced Laboratory Support Technician to assist in our Chemistry department. The position works closely with the Lab Managers to ensure fast turn-around time and high-quality service.

**Responsibilities for Laboratory Support Technician**:

- Preparing samples for analysis
- Perform sample extractions and titrations
- Weigh samples
- Review of sample preparation and storage
- Sample Disposition
- Comply with all health, safety procedure and GLPs
- Wash and clean glassware and lab equipment
- Must be able to lift 10lbs with each hand and pick up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand/walk 100% of the time
- Keep the sample preparation room, washroom, and equipment clean and organized
- Requires some shifts on weekends and holiday
- Able to work under a fast-path environment
- Possess a positive attitude
- Communicate effectively and are team players
- Reliable and professional
- Cross-train on multiple stations
- Ability to follow instructions, procedures and finish designated assignments on a timely manner.
- Ability to train in safe and proper operation of equipment needed to perform job duties.

**Qualifications for Laboratory Support Technician**:

- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with mínimal direction and able to adjust workload based on upon changing priorities.
- B.S. or A.S in Chemistry, Food Science, or closely related field preferred
- Capacity for lifting-up to 50 lbs, reaching, bending, and twisting.
- Have flexible availability, and a positive attitude.
- Must be able to work efficiently
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Able to work overtime
