APPLICANT MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH ANXIETY, AND ACCOMMODATE STUDENT WITH HEARING LOSS

Overview:
**Responsibilities**:

- Provide one-on-one SAT prep tutoring tailored to the student’s individual needs and learning style.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the student’s test-taking skills, focusing on areas such as reading comprehension, mathematics, and writing.
- Create a supportive and engaging learning environment to help the student manage anxiety and stay motivated.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate the student’s executive functioning disorder and hearing loss.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field.
- Proven experience in tutoring SAT prep, preferably with high school students.
- Experience working with students with ADHD, executive functioning disorder, social anxiety, and hearing impairments.
- Strong understanding of SAT curriculum and test-taking strategies.
- Ability to develop personalized learning plans and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed.
- Start Date: Monday, July 1, 2024
- Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $20.95 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 12 per week
