Chefs’ Kitchen Chicago ( WWW.CKFRESH.COM ) is Chicago area leading distributor of specialty, protein and broadline offerings. We are located at 43rd and Ashland in the Back of Yards area of Chicago. 1455 W 43rd St.
Hours 2 AM - up to 11 AM Monday-Friday
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs daily loading of outbound shipments from daily loading manifest.
- Operates stand up riders and other necessary warehouse equipment to properly handle materials being shipped, received, issued, stocked, and picked.
- May also, receives delivered supplies, materials, and equipment; confirms that delivered goods match purchase order specifications of quantity, condition, model number, etc.; completes all necessary paperwork for stock items received, and forwards to supervisor.
- Perform other projects as assigned.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
- All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS (EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS) REQUIRED
- Excellent math, reading, communication (verbal and written) and problem solving/analytical skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Bilingual - Spanish/English strongly recommended.
- Ability to handles multiple tasks
- Attention to detail, solid judgment and decision-making skills
- Forklift certification may be required
- Ability to lift/move up to 70 lbs. solo or greater weights in a team lift

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work in inside cooler weather conditions 38 degrees in cooler and -18 in freezer. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, ambient air, temperature extremes, fumes or airborne particles, traffic, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but occasionally high.
