**Overview**:
A Donor Relations Manager is responsible for handling donor relations at all levels, from development to communication with donors, as well as administration support of fundraising events and the Donor Relations committee.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Coordinates attendance at meetings of the Donor Relations Committee and related task forces.
- Attends committee and donor related meetings and takes minutes.
- Compiles materials for Donor Relations Committee meetings.
- Prepares packets of materials for gift solicitation and donor meetings.
- Coordinates to ensure that the development database is current and accurate.
- Tracks gifts, by donor and by total gifts, and ensures proper acknowledgement and record keeping.
- Carries out key tasks for special events under the direction of the Executive Director.

**Fundraising**:

- Attend bi-monthly meetings with social media company to outsource events: NYKSB, Reading Between the Vines and any other events scheduled.
- Coordinates internally and with outside firms assigned to prepare fundraising materials.
- Coordinates logistics for all donor relations events (i.e. set the date, book the venue).
- Coordinates Give Choose, Giving Tuesday and EOY Appeal.

**Development**:

- Schedule and attend meetings with businesses of all sizes (cold call, walk-in, or scheduled meeting).
- Represent the organization in the community, attend networking events, and cultivate relationships with potential donors, partners, and collaborators.
- Report results of all fundraising campaigns through graphs, charts.
- Create and deliver proposals as well as prepare presentations for businesses.
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, major contributors, and potential supporters to ensure ongoing financial support.
- Develop and implement effective donor programs to acknowledge, recognize, and engage donors in the organization's mission.
- Regularly assess and report on fundraising goals, donors, and return on investment to the executive team and board, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
