Flexible hours available for Full time for Day: Monday thru Friday, business hours
At Oasis Behavioral Health we specialize in inpatient and outpatient needs of children, teens, and adults. We also have a residential treatment center serving the needs of children and teens. Oasis staff members strive to offer hope to clients who are often suffering from depression, emotional pain, or trauma. Oasis works with clients to define their purpose outside of addiction and mental illness and develop discharge plans that emphasize client strengths, goals, and desired purpose. At Oasis we approach each client with optimism about their future and recovery, addressing each roadblock independently and using setbacks as growth opportunities.
Materials Specialist Responsibilities:
- Coordinates all facility purchasing activities, including obtaining quotes, receiving deliveries, matching packing slips to quotes/purchase orders, distributing supplies across departments, and contacting vendors to resolve any discrepancies.
- Oversees and maintains the establishment of inventory par levels for unit and department supplies.
- Professionally interacts with all departments regularly, to ensure needs are met.
- Analysis of non-stock inventory levels and the establishment of control systems to maintain acceptable levels.
- Writing, implementing and adhering to department related policies and procedures. Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures that pertain to the functions of the role.
- Review and make appropriate recommendations for new supplies and equipment. Participates in the evaluation of new products and makes recommendations for product conversions.
- Keep accurate records regarding all purchase requests.
- Process all Capital equipment purchase requests inline with financial policy and procedure.
- Maintains a working knowledge of manufacturers, vendors and new supplies and equipment.
- Proactive in preventing potential environmental threats such as physical safety, body mechanics, staff identification, etc. Identifies and reports potential and/or real risk situations to supervisor.
- Recognize and respond to emergency situations (i.e. Code Red, Code Blue, Disaster Drill, etc.) following organizational policies and procedures.
- Completes all required training timely
- Ad hoc analysis as needed
- Adhere to the organization’s policies, procedures as well as state and federal laws, regulations and accreditation standards applicable to the role.
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Experience in a hospital central supply or material management department preferred.
