- General Education: Communications, Mathematics, Physical/Life Sciences, Humanities/Fine Arts, Social/Behavioral Sciences, and Human Diversity
- Career programs
- Core courses for academic programs
- Early College
- Adult Education

Assessment processes are driven by the imperative to consistently improve student learning. Data, analysis, and discourse resulting from the assessment process serve to inform improvements in pedagogy, course content, curricula, learning resources, and student services. Faculty and administration use assessment findings and recommendations to improve student performance, student development, and student achievement.

Wilbur Wright College, one of the City Colleges of Chicago, seeks a Director-Assessment to provide leadership and management oversight in creating and sustaining a culture and practice of assessment within the institution, working collaboratively with faculty and administrators in executing the college’s calendar of assessment plans and programmatic evaluation. The Director-Assessment develops work plans that effectively measure student learning outcomes, supports the college’s continuous improvement efforts, facilitates on-going attention and work in support of the college’s institutional learning outcomes, and provides the data support needed to meet regional and specialized accreditation standards and requirements of academic programs. Demonstrates commitment to a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Performs related duties as required.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provides leadership in developing processes, procedures, and measurement tools to identify and define meaningful course and program level student learning outcomes, analyze meaningful assessment data, and utilize results to help faculty improve teaching and student learning.
- Coordinates on-going development, implementation, and evaluation of an assessment plan for the entire institution by which the college will measure improvement and hold itself accountable.
- Leads efforts to revise and strengthen college’s program review process, developing standard metrics to effectively identify areas of improvement, and to create more meaningful and measurable program improvements in alignment with CCC’s goals and objectives.
- Consults with faculty and academic administrators during the assessment of student learning process, providing guidance on identifying assessment instruments, completing qualitative and quantitative data analysis, and identifying ways to use assessment results for continuous improvement of academic quality.
- Collaborates with college leadership in developing guidelines related to program evaluation, program review, assessment of student learning, and institutional effectiveness.
- Implements a schedule and cycle for collecting and reporting student learning assessment data and ensures alignment with Illinois Community College Board (ICCB) program review and specialized accreditation of career programs.
- Co-chairs the college’s Assessment of Student Learning Committee.
- Serves on the District’s Assessment Committee.
- Leads staff and implements work plans for Wright’s assessment reporting to the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).
- Implements strategies to continuously meet CCC’s Assessment Operational Standards.
- Attends conferences, professional meetings, and related professional development opportunities. Effectively shares best practices and learned strategies to enhance assessment activities.
- Supports the curriculum development process as it relates to assessment methods for new and revised courses and programs.
- Delivers professional development opportunities (workshops, seminars, conferences) to faculty and staff relevant to the college’s academic assessment initiatives.
- Supports assessment activities to meet standards and reporting requirements of accrediting and licensing bodies, including data management, evidence and artifacts collection, and data support on compliance requests and site visits.
- Facilitates the coordination of college, co-curricular, non-instructional, and program-level assessment activities to ensure alignment with institutional and accreditation expectations regarding student learning.
