SUMMARY
The purpose of the Coordinator of the Academy for Human Services Training (AHST) Programs is to conduct and maintain the AHST program. Coordinator of AHST Programs must adhere to the contract requirements and accomplish the program goals set forth. Coordinator of AHST Programs is to assist in establishing and maintaining systems for inspecting and supporting achievement of students and graduates of the Academy for Human Service Training. The Coordinator of AHST Programs assures that the individuals in the program have both academic and case management supports to assure their successful completion of each phase of the training program including instruction, internships, certification, job development, job placement, and job retention.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works a flexible schedule that will include working both day and some evening hours based upon the needs of the program at the site of assignment.
- Works to enhance the curriculum and develop new courses and areas of instructions on an ongoing basis especially surrounding Literacy Skills for the Business World curriculum.
- Ensures the AHST sites are fulfilling the contracted number of literacy skill classroom instruction hours on an ongoing basis.
- Coordinates instructors and plans training calendar for assigned site.
- Instructs specialized courses in areas of knowledge and expertise and covers course instruction in the absence of scheduled instructors.
- Ensures the curriculum and services provided meet contractual and other funding source requirements.
- Ensures that training calendar is developed using the most up to date curriculum and open enrollment scheduling.
- Assists students in determining their case management and programmatic needs and barriers to successful completion, including Individual Service Strategies.
- Counsels program participants regarding personal issues that may interfere with program completion and successful job attainment.
- Assures all aspects of the proposal are carried out in accordance with the proposal, including recruitment efforts in order to ensure contracted capacities are fulfilled.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Personal vehicle will be required for travel purposes. Bachelor's Degree & Management experience preferred. Previous experience in human services preferred.

SHIFT DETAILS
- Exempt/Flexible Scheduling Required to meet program and/or student needs.

SALARY
- $42,136.00/yr, increases to $44,243.00/yr after 6-month intro period is complete.
