Under the direction of the President/CEO, the Human Resources Manager is responsible for handling all Human Resource functions.

**Essential Duties**:
**Payroll**
- Process biweekly payroll
- Calculates and processes accurately salary changes / adjustments.
- Maintenance of paid time off balances.
- Processes all required adjustments, deductions, and garnishments.
- Maintains accurate and detailed payroll records.
- Prepares payroll reports for management.
- Submit 401K payroll contributions to third party.

**Recruiting**
- Consults with management team to determine staffing requirements and identifies the best external recruitment sources.
- Manages on-line company job board and postings.

**Employee Relations**
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, escalating complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate management member.
- Participate in employment counseling sessions.
- Handles all employee disciplinary actions and reviews disciplinary recommendations from management to determine actions warranted.
- Responds to union grievances.

**HR Administration**
- Performs routine tasks required to administer human resource functions including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes; performance management; and training and development.
- Conducts onboarding of new hires.
- Ensures employees complete mandatory training.
- Completes offboarding process for all terminating employees.
- Files and maintains organization of all human resources documents including permanent personnel records.
- Coordinates, manages, and tracks all leaves of absence.
- Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
- Respond to requests for verification of employment and government agency requests.
- Administers annual performance evaluation program.

**Benefits Administration**
- Administers health and welfare plans including education, enrollments, status changes and terminations.
- Answers employee questions related to health and welfare plans.
- Process Workers Compensation Claims, as needed.

Knowledge:

- Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local laws regarding employment standards, employment discrimination, Family and Medical Leave, and sexual harassment.

**Education**:

- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university required.
- Licenses/Certifications: HR Certification is desirable.

**Experience**:

- A minimum of three years of Human Resources Generalist experience required.
- Union experience is desirable.
- At least one year of experience with processing payroll is preferred.
- Prior recruiting experience is preferred.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
