**Job Summary**

**Position Title**:Front Desk Agent

**Location**: The Cove Hotel, 40 Bridge St, Salem, MA

**Schedule**: Full-Time

**Position Type**: Non-Management

Join our team at The Cove Hotel and become an integral part of delivering exceptional guest experiences. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service to our guests during their stay. From processing check-ins and check-outs to handling guest inquiries and ensuring accurate billing, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere.

**Compensation**:
$17 - $18 hourly

**Responsibilities**:
**_ Key Responsibilities_**
- Process guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and accurately.
- Handle guest inquiries and provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
- Assist guests with special requests and accommodations, demonstrating a commitment to exceeding their expectations.
- Manage payment transactions, including room charges, cash, checks, debit, and credit cards, adhering to established procedures.
- Utilize the hotel's reservation system to make and modify guest reservations as needed.
- Operate the telephone switchboard to handle incoming calls, take messages, and process wake-up calls.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the front desk and lobby area.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or maintenance issues promptly to the appropriate department.
- Collaborate with other hotel staff to ensure seamless guest experiences and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Uphold The Cove Hotel's standards of excellence in hospitality and customer service.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with hotel reservation systems and basic computer skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
