We are currently seeking an experienced Automotive Parts Specialist to join our dynamic team for first shift. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our service department by managing auto parts inventory, fulfilling parts orders, and supporting our team of expert mechanics.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Ordering Parts**: Efficiently manage and place orders for auto parts, ensuring accuracy in orders to meet the specific needs of service tasks and projects.
- **Picking Parts**: Retrieve and prepare parts for use by mechanics, ensuring a smooth workflow and minimizing downtime in repair tasks.
- **Distribution**: Coordinate the distribution of auto parts to mechanics, ensuring they have the necessary parts to complete service tasks efficiently.
- **Inventory Management**: Maintain up-to-date records of parts inventory, conduct regular audits, and adjust inventory levels to ensure availability and minimize excess.
- **Parts Diagrams and Catalogs**: Utilize parts diagrams and catalogs to accurately identify and order the correct parts. Knowledge of electronic parts catalogs is essential.
- **Quality Control**: Inspect received parts for quality and accuracy, addressing and resolving discrepancies with suppliers.
- **Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of orders, receipts, and inventory levels. Ensure proper documentation is kept for all transactions and inventory adjustments.

**Requirements**:

- 2+ year experience in a automotive parts role.
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts and a keen ability to use parts diagrams and catalogs.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with the service team and suppliers.
- Proficiency in automotive inventory software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of All Data/Mitchell; knowledge of Fullbay a plus.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any parts issues that arise during the shift.
- Forecasts goals and objectives based on business needs.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring all operations comply with company and regulatory standards.
- Ensures parts specialists meet appropriate order deadline.
- Attends manager meetings.
- Collaborates with service writers, dispatchers, billing specialists
- Liaises with external partners including automotive dealerships and parts providers.
- **Additional certification in mechanical or automotive repair a plus**_

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

**Experience**:

- Automotive parts: 2 years (required)
- Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (preferred)
