**Job Summary**
This position will include processing all warranty claims
**Essential Functions**
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times
- Aid company employees and end users in clarifying warranty obligations
- Contacts customers as needed to schedule appointments for manufacturer’s product improvement programs
- Interacts with manufacturer’s representatives regarding various warranty functions
- Coordinates warranty repairs with other departments
- Reviews and responds to open work orders designated for warranty as per company policies
- Prepare warranty orders to be processed by gathering, sorting, organizing, and recording data, information, and documents
- Evaluates warranty by comparing work performed to applicable warranties
- Rejects warranty when necessary by preparing written correspondence explaining warranty limits
- Meets company standards as they pertain to timely submission of warranty invoices
- Keeps information accessible by sorting and filing documents and updating databases
- Follows up on warranty receivables to ensure payment in a timely manner
- Aids in the completion of warranty audits
- Expands job knowledge by participating in prescribed training opportunities, and by reading technical publications
**Qualifications**
- High school diploma required
- Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in business preferred
- 2+ years of relevant experience preferred, from either a service or warranty role in either the heavy equipment or automotive industry
- General knowledge of diesel engines, powertrain components, and hydraulics is preferred
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with Excel, is preferred
- Competency with math and essential financial calculations for invoicing
- Online billing experience
- Excellent customer service/communication skills required
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize
- Ability to analyze and comprehend a significant volume of information
- Ability to address problems and facilitate successful outcomes
- Ability to accept additional tasks, duties and/or direction from management
- Ability to read, interpret, and speak English; Spanish a plus
- Has a focus on quality
- Possesses integrity
**Typical Physical Activity**
Physical Demands consist of sitting, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting, standing, walking, typing, talking, hearing and traveling.
