Inventory:

- Maintain inventory of all equipment and supplies.
- Purchase necessary supplies and equipment to replace or enhance current inventory.
- Oversee service contracts for replacement parts and service.
- Clean, store and repair equipment.
- Service and maintain all SOAZ vehicles and trailers.
- Maintain the Missing Items tracker spreadsheet and ensure the proper procedures are in place for returning or replacing missing items.

Distribution:

- Assist when needed with creating and maintain the equipment schedule for State and Area Competitions.
- Act as a safety coordinator for all equipment and implement proper safety procedures for equipment usage.
- Assist when needed standardize a check-in and check-out process for staff and partner organizations.
- Assist when needed coordinating appropriate vehicle usage for equipment distribution.
- Manage relationship with Swift and Knight Transportation to schedule semi-truck driver to distribute equipment and maintain semi operation safety/compliance.

Day-of Event Duties:

- When necessary, set up sport and event areas.
- Work with Volunteer Coordinator and Department of Corrections contacts to ensure all necessary volunteers are secured to assist with loading, unloading and setup of equipment.

- and post-event and ensure proper setup and takedown on site.

Administrative/Miscellaneous:

- Maintain Distribution Center facility.
- Must be able to hook up and drive vehicles with 30-43 foot trailers attached.
- Intake of supply shipments made by programs department.
- Direct oversight of up to a 12-member female inmate crew daily.
- Maintain personal inmate training certification.
- Coordinate yearly inmate training for all staff.
- Support fundraising events in partnership with the Law Enforcement Torch Run.
- Prepare all necessary reports and paperwork in a timely and legible fashion (i.e., purchase orders, credit card reconciliation, staff reports, entry forms, grant reports, in-kind donation tracking, budgeting, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with Special Olympics guidelines, policies, and standards, SOI General Rules, and adheres to SOI/SONA Risk Management polices/practices at all levels to protect SOAZ and prevent loss.

Screening:
Department of Correction’s Criminal History Information Request.

Education and Experience:
High School Diploma. Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing inventory, distribution or related field. Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Application. Strong organizational and time management skills, including ability to juggle multiple projects with competing priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Detail oriented, self-motivated and comfortable working in a collaborative team environment. Public speaking and customer service skills also required. Must be able to drive trucks, trucks with trailers and box trucks. Forklift certification is desired. Must maintain working with inmates certification once hired.

Physical Demands Include:
Working in confined spaces, working in extremes of heat, cold and inclement weather. Moderate to heavy physical demands include lifting through full range (a minimum of 50 pounds), loading and unloading trucks and trailers, and lifting equipment and other merchandise. Equipment, truck, and trailer training will be provided, and reasonable accommodations can be made for physical demand limitations.

Transportation and Travel:
In-state and out-of-state travel may be required. Must have own reliable transportation, a valid AZ driver’s license, a good driving history, and fulfill assignments with reliability and punctuality.

Work Schedule:
This position’s work schedule will be determined by the demands of the position and can include 40+ hour work weeks, evenings and weekends, and extensive in-state travel.
