**Essential Job Responsibilities**:
Adheres to and supports the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources.

2. Adheres to the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and the Privacy Standards Confidentiality Agreement.

3. Demonstrates support for the Tenet Corporate Compliance Program by being knowledgeable of compliance responsibilities as expressed in the Code of Conduct; adhering to federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures policies that affect his/her specific job functions/responsibilities; and reporting compliance issues/concerns in a timely and appropriate manner.

4. Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take X-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.

5. Protect patients, yourself and staff from radiation exposure by practicing sound procedures which meet or exceed recommended industry standards.

6. Develop and process radiological film.

7. Obtain quality diagnostic radiographs as requested by Physician, PA, or NP. Maintain a repeat rate of two percent or less.

8. Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

9. Report immediately any equipment malfunctions to Supervisor.

10. Log completed radiological procedures. Complete paperwork accurately and on time.

11. Identify and file reports as required.

12. Maintain x-ray room, stock necessary radiological supplies.

13. Request, retrieve and track files to and from other departments or centers.

14. Work closely with the Physician, PA, or NP to receive guidance and instruction for

treating patients.

15. Perform lab work as directed by Physician, PA, or NP

13. Makes suggestions to improve work methods.

14. Other duties may be assigned.

**Requirements**:
**Education**:High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

and completion from an accredited radiology program.

**Certification**:ARRT**

**Experience**:Two years of experience working in an x-ray tech capacity

Understanding proper operation of X-RAY equipment.

Knowledge of Electronic Health Systems.

Knowledge of the policies and procedures of a clinic sufficient to provide effective patient care.

**Work Environment**:Position is in a dark office environment.

**Mental/Physical Requirements**:Involves varied activities including standing, sitting, walking, stooping, lifting, bending, reaching. Requires full range of body motion including: handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Must be able to use correct body mechanics to assist patients appropriately. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to push or pull mobile equipment on casters up to 500 pounds.

Pay: $24.00 - $34.76 per hour
