- Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with campus administrators, teachers, parents, and students in a professional manner.

**_Duties include but are not limited to the following:_**
- Install, service, program, and repair electronic systems.
- Research, specify and order replacement fire alarm equipment, components and parts.
- Knowledge of public address systems (PA), cameras and digital signage.
- Operate various testing equipment and meters.
- Operate software associated with PA systems, scoreboards, and marquees.
- Inspect systems as required to maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and codes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and reference materials.
- Maintain disaster recovery documentation of procedures, contacts, and inventory for area of responsibility.
- Assist licensed technicians as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Electronics and Alarm Systems.
- Report to the Manager of Electronics and Alarm Systems.

**_Work Conditions: _**
- Maintain emotional control under stress, work with frequent interruptions.
- Work in varying climatic conditions including construction sites and mechanical rooms.
- Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects such as boxes, computers, and peripherals.
- Use fixed, portable ladders and lifts to access PA and electronic equipment at various heights.
- Respond to after hour calls.

Applicants with a **current** Texas Fire Alarm Technician (FAL) license or State Security License may qualify for Technician II - Electronics & Alarms technician (Salary-$21.65 minimum).
