As the **VP, Business and Legal Affairs **you will:
**What you'll do**:

- **Legal Counsel and Strategy**: Provide expert legal advice and strategic guidance to senior label and Sony business affairs executives and label departments on a wide range of business matters, including artist contracts, intellectual property rights, licensing agreements, and corporate transactions.
- **Deal Negotiation and Drafting**: Strong drafting skills required with experience in the negotiation and drafting of agreements with artists, brands, and other industry partners.
- **Compliance and Risk Management**:Staying on top of changes in relevant laws and regulations affecting the music industry.

**Who you are**:

- Degree from a top accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the relevant bar.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in entertainment law, with a major focus on the music industry and experience at a major record label.
- Proven track record of successfully negotiating and drafting complex deals with artists and other industry partners.
- Strong understanding of intellectual property law, contract law, and music industry regulations affecting the music industry.
- Excellent communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate legal issues.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Ability to keep a calm demeanor while handling multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
