1. Loads & unloads heavy parts, materials and equipment from the truck and or trailer.

2. Assists in setting up and taking down shoring and safety equipment.

3. Does manual labor with shovels or other tools.

4. Works as a member of a crew that performs job tasks as listed below:
a. Excavate and repair broken water main or sewer main.

b. Repair/ replace leaking water service line.

c. Install new water taps and sanitary sewer taps.

d. Install new commercial water tap, fire line and meters w/ concrete vaults.

e. Repair/ replace sanitary/ storm sewer manhole lids & castings

5. Always uses appropriate safety equipment and observes all safety rules and precautions for each task attempted.

6. Works under the direction of and assists crew leader/backhoe operator as needed.

7. Works as part of the after-hours “on-call” program.

8. Helps ensure that all Hays construction equipment is properly maintained.

9. Helps ensure that all unused or unneeded equipment and materials are returned to their proper storage location.

10. Work Classification: Heavy to Very Heavy

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

**Education**:

- High school or equivalent (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Driver's License (required)

Willingness to travel:

- 25% (preferred)

Work Location: In person
