As a key member of our outside plant construction team, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining poles, cables, and conduits. This role requires a strong understanding of telecommunications infrastructure and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain poles, cables, and conduits in accordance with industry standards
  • Run fiber optic, copper, and other necessary cables in aerial and underground infrastructure
  • Maintain the safety of the crew by providing direction on procedures, road safety, and manhole safety
  • Operate heavy machinery, including digger derricks, bucket trucks, and backhoes
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on telecommunications equipment
  • Work in confined spaces and at heights, including climbing poles and ladders
  • Travel to job sites, which may require over 50% of the year

Requirements:

  • 1 year of outside plant construction experience, including installation, repair, and maintenance of poles and buried or aerial cable
  • Pole climbing certification
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a CDL license
  • DOT certification
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions, year-round
  • Exceptional time-management and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pole climbing experience
  • OSHA 10 Hour Safety Course and Buck Squeeze (Pole Climbing Certifications)
  • Proficient at operating various construction equipment
