Technician Apprentice

Description:
The** Technician Apprentice** will assist in the remanufacturing of diesel engine fuel injection components in order to provide high quality parts and timely service that will exceed our customers’ expectations.

**_ Duties and Responsibilities:_**
- The Technician must become deeply knowledgeable of a variety of diesel engine fuel injection pumps and fuel injector components.
- Must become efficient with the following aspects: clean, disassemble, assemble, calibrate, and test fuel injection pumps and fuel injectors.
- Must become efficient with the ability to diagnose pump issues.
- Must be able to appropriately use mechanical tools and small power tools as needed.
- Must use chemical and mechanical methods to clean incoming fuel injection components. Examples: Parts washer and stationary buffing wheels.
- Must be able to use measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers and indicators.
- Must be able to use computer systems, software, and other electronics to control test processes and record data.
- Must be able to accurately key in computer data.
- Participates and completes training opportunities as they arise.
- Attends all department and company-wide meetings as scheduled.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Mechanical aptitude.

**_ Physical Demands & The Work Environment:_**
- Shop environment that can include exposure to loud noises, dirt, and dust.
- Ability to squat, kneel, crouch, climb, crawl, and bend over.
- Ability to lift objects to shoulder level.
- Ability to lift objects above shoulder level.
- Ability to lift, move, and carry objects to 50 lbs.
