**Duties**:
**This is an Excepted Service position. This appointment will not confer Competitive Service career-conditional or career tenure status. **As a full performance GS-15 Supervisory Intelligence Research Specialist, you will**:

- Serve as the senior analyst or advisor to leadership to provide authoritative insights on matters related to the assessment of foreign threats to Department of Energy (DOE) and National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) equities within the Research, Technology and Economic Security spectrum.
- Engage on a regular basis with relevant program offices to identify projects and activities that are potentially at risk and to identify customer requirements and priorities.
- Manage and oversee the efforts of subordinate personnel responsible for supporting Research, Technology and Economic Security (RTES) and due-diligence analysis.
- Represent DOE- Office of Intelligence and Counterintelligence (IN) at RTES-related forums and working groups within the Intelligence Community (IC) to promote consistency of efforts across the USG and to promote analytic collaboration and coordination.
- Assign work to subordinates based upon priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.

- You are required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report within 30 days of entering the position and annually.
- This position has been designated as Special-Sensitive (High Risk) and requires a security clearance at the Q level. The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain this clearance; failure to do so may result in separation from federal service.
- In addition, the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance prior to entrance on duty; failure to do so may result in separation from federal service.
- The incumbent is required to complete an initial Counterintelligence (CI) evaluation and on a recurring basis, which may include a CI-scope polygraph examination.
- This position does not support 100% remote work. You will be required to report physically to the official reporting worksite as specified by the supervisor, but no less than 2 days per pay period.
- Limited telework may be available based upon mission requirements of the position.
- This position is not included in a Bargaining Unit.
- First time supervisors will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period.
- New supervisors are required to complete 80 hours of supervisory training of which 40 hours must be completed during your first year as a supervisor.

**Qualifications**:

- Analyzing threat information from multiple sources or disciplines to development assessment and share agencies across the Intelligence Community.
- Preparing oral or written briefings to convey ideas, facts, conclusions, estimates, or projection to decision maker on potential risks.
- Building effective relationships with other departments to ensure a comprehensive understanding of key issues associated with threats.
