**Job Summary/Basic Function**
- The Full-Time Assistant Women’s Field Hockey Coach assists the Head Women’s Field Hockey Coach with the daily operations of conducting a successful Women’s Field Hockey program, including the monitoring, and ensuring the academic success of the student-athletes.- The Assistant Women’s Field Hockey Coach will perform any or all duties related to recruiting academically qualified student-athletes, scheduling, scouting, conditioning, advising student athletes in academic matters related to enrollment and educational progress, generating revenue and other assigned duties.
- **Contract renewed on annual basis.**

**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Playing experience and/or coaching experience at the intercollegiate level.
- Knowledge of:

- recruiting.
- Field Hockey Skills & Ability to teach.
- Commitment to academic and athletic excellence of students.
- Ability to:

- work with student-athletes of diverse cultures, racial and ethnic groups.
- work independently and in coordination with others.
- transport students to and from sporting events when necessary.
- Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated strong analytical and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Evidence of a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Successful interview.
- Successful completion of three background checks.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Knowledge of NCAA Div. II rules.
- Ability to:

- conduct technical skill sessions by position groups.
- plan, write and execute fundraising, community and social events promoting MU Field Hockey.
- Video and Technology abilities with education & recruitment.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Report to the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics. Receive specific assignments from and assist the Head Coach in performing any or all the duties listed below:
