**Job Summary/Basic Function**
- The purpose of the Full Time Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach is to assist the Head Men’s Basketball Coach with the daily operations of conducting a successful basketball program, including the monitoring, and ensuring the academic success of the student-athletes and in the development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the team’s program.

- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Three completed seasons of NCAA College basketball coaching experience as head coach, assistant coach, graduate assistant, or basketball operations.
- Knowledge of basketball strategies to assist with preparation and implementation of teaching offensive and defensive concepts.
- Experience in leading basketball skill development.
- Experience in monitoring academics.
- Knowledge of or experience recruiting.
- Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Receive specific assignments from and assist the Head Coach in performing any or all the duties listed below:

- Advise student-athletes and staff of applicable intercollegiate athletic rules, regulations, and University policies and ensure compliance of such regulations.
- Develop and conduct pre-season, in-season and off-season training and conditioning programs for the team.
- Recruit student-athletes.
- Inform student-athletes of academic and other matters pertaining to their enrollment and educational progress.
- Plan and direct athletic skill development for student-athletes.
- Ensure appropriate safety measures are observed when conducting team activities.
