**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a part-time Accounting Assistant to join our team. The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks and ensuring accurate financial records. This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and has a strong background in accounting, procurement, reconciliation, and processing expense reports.
Duties to Include but not limited to:
- Perform accounts payable process
- Review/verify purchase request
- Vendor selections
- Perform purchases
- Reconcile credit card transactions
- Assist technical staff with travel (hotels, air lines, car rental)
- Reconcile expense reports with Government policies (GSA)
- Maintain master vendor records
- Perform various other tasks to assist Controller & Business unit
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred or 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance role
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles
- Knowledge of QuickBooks desktop/Enterprise
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail

- An ability to prioritize and manage expectations
- A strong attention to detail
- An ability to work independently
- The ability to communicate articulately and efficiently with other teammates & peers.
