Associated Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons has been serving patients in Peoria, IL for over 50 years. We are leaders in oral surgery, specializing in wisdom teeth extractions, dental implant placement, and complex oral surgery needs for jaw correction, trauma, and identified pathology.

We are excited to announce our busy office is growing and we are hiring a detail-oriented Patient Coordinator to join our team at our Peoria location This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the beginning of the patient’s experience in our office to keep an efficient flow of our schedule.

This is a full-time position. Mon, Tues, Thurs 7:30am-4:30pm, Wed 7:00am-4:00pm, and Fri 7:00am-3:30pm (end time might be earlier on Fridays.) Shift start time may vary and be as early as 6:45am on occasion depending on patient schedule.

**Medical/dental office experience helpful.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Greeting all patients/visitors with a smile and a warm greeting and continuing a positive conversation with patients to ensure a positive visit for the patient.
- Gathering information from the patient by making sure they complete all patient forms, scanning in insurance cards, referral forms, etc.
- Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
- Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area.
- Accurate data entry into computer software.
- Reviewing treatment plans and collecting money for procedures.
- Working with clinical team to notify them of patient arrival.
- Electronically filing correspondence from referral sources.
- Corresponding with referral sources to obtain missing patient information.
- Helping with overflow telephone calls.
- Making appointments.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
