**Core Duties and Responsibilities**

This position will work closely with attorneys, assistants and other legal staff on all aspects of complex civil and business litigation matters, from intake through preparation for trial. Duties include, but are not limited to:

- E-filing documents in state and federal courts under strict deadlines, ensuring filings are in compliance with court rules;
- Assisting with case management, calendaring deadlines, reserving court appearances, and monitoring case dockets;
- Completing Judicial Council forms, creating pleading and discovery shells, generating Table of Contents and Table of Authorities, and formatting pleadings;
- Serving discovery requests, assisting with document collection and production, and scheduling depositions;
- Ensuring case documents are saved, organized and maintained on our document management system;
- Drafting engagement letters and conflict waivers, sending conflict checks, and opening new client matters on our case management and billing systems.

**Required Qualifications**
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working directly on civil and business litigation matters;
- Proficiency with e-Filing in state and federals courts is a must, including Los Angeles Superior Court, CM/ECF, PACER, and other filing portals;
- Proficiency with MS Office and Adobe; prior experience with Everlaw and calendaring software (Compulaw or Juralaw) would be helpful;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability, and the capacity to meet strict deadlines;
