Collins Aerospace is seeking a self-motivated **Contracts Manager, Government Programs **well versed in FAR/DFARS contracts to support the Collins Aerospace Aerostructures Military Contracts group, based in Jacksonville, FL. This is a functional manager role, not a people leader role. This is an on-site position, may be eligible for relocation.

The Contracts Manager will be responsible for managing contracts for the design and production of various ship and submarine components. You will provide business advise to your assigned value stream leadership team and represent the organization in contract matters with the customer. You will support proposal development, provide data to senior leadership, and administer contracts to closeout.

**This position is working onsite and located at our facility on Busch Drive** **in Jacksonville FL.**

The submarine and surface ships within this video highlight the products we have designed and now build in Jacksonville.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Partner with a team of contracts professionals in expanding Govt contracts knowledge and overall business acumen to improve the financial position of the business.
- Analyze and negotiate statements of work, terms and conditions, data requirements, etc. to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures.
- Manage existing contracts to ensure compliance to contract terms, identify and seek adjustment for out-of-scope changes and to mitigate risk.
- Operates collaboratively within the value stream leadership team of program managers, engineers, finance, supply chain, and operations to support program management and strategy and execution reviews to drive customer focused solutions.
- Provide flow down and guidance to the program team on the requirements and terms within the contract.
- Lead and/or support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance department and organizational performance and effectiveness.
- Able to travel 10% domestically.

**Basic Required **Qualifications/Experience Needed**:

- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience **or** **an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience **or** in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years experience with Department of Defense (DoD) contracts - FAR/DFARS experience.

- Experience in the aerospace or shipbuilding industry
- Manufacturing/production experience
- Graduate degree
- Talent in critical thinking and innovation
