Working Conditions

Ability to use a computer keyboard several hours a day. Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods. Standard office environment, consistent with office work, daily use of personal computer, office equipment, and/or telephone. This position works with staff statewide to complete work assignments. Attend meetings and hearings.

Time off may not be granted during the year-end Financial Statement period.

Hybrid telework schedule.

This position qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness Accrual Credit.

Desirable Qualifications
-*Knowledge of and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB), accounting principles and procedures, policies, regulations and laws.
- Have experience in General Ledger, Fund/Bank Statement reconciliations, debt accounting, year-end accruals and CAFR/Financial Statement & Reporting.
- Ability to plan, organize, take initiative, and exercise good judgement.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively and independently.
- Excellent oral, written, and analytical skills.
- Detail oriented, focused on accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, FI$Cal, and automated accounting systems.
- Maintain consistent and regular attendance.
