**Job Description**:
About the Role

The compensation team at The New York Times oversees all aspects of employee compensation, including salary, bonuses, and benefits. We play a critical role in attracting, retaining, and rewarding top talent at The New York Times.

As a compensation analyst, your role entails assisting in the administration and maintenance of our compensation programs. You'll collaborate with internal client groups, providing guidance on pay decisions, policy interpretation, and job evaluations. You'll participate in the year-end bonus and salary increase processes. Additionally, you may undertake special compensation projects. You will report to the Director, Compensation.

**Responsibilities**:
- You will support activities to develop compensation policies and programs- You will Support and administer company wide compensation programs including merit, bonus, and equity- You will participate in compensation surveys to collect and analyze survey data- You will conduct benchmarking processes and analyze internal and external market data to evaluate competitiveness of salaries, bonus, and equity programs- You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations.- You will prepare reports and presentations for management regarding compensation information

Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant compensation expertisePreferred Qualifications:
- You are knowledgable about regulations and legislation affecting compensation decisions- 1+ years of experience with Workday- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification or working towards certification

LI-Hybrid

The annual base pay range for this role is between $90,000.00 and $100,000.00.

The Company will further consider qualified applicants, including those with criminal histories, in a manner consistent with the requirements of applicable "Fair Chance" laws.
