Consumer Lending Quality Control Supervisor

Overview:
**Reports to**: Consumer Lending Quality Control Manager
**Functions Supervised**:Consumer Lending Quality Control
**Primary Functions**:Responsible for overseeing Quality Control Reviews of all Consumer Lending department functions for policy, procedure, and regulatory compliance, to include but not limited to lending/collection/recovery portfolios, financial and demographic transactions, and adverse actions (lending departments include consumer loan origination, servicing, and collection teams).
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for the direct supervision of Consumer Lending Quality Control Officers focusing on clearly identifying their purpose, direction, motivation, training needs, and development. This includes but is not limited to supporting the team by creating tools and resources, developing appropriate skill builders or training, and problem solving to assist with completing reviews.
- Responsible for overseeing the quality control review process to ensure Consumer Lending business unit processes are compliant and adhere to established credit union policies, procedures, practices, and internal controls.
- Responsible for guiding a team of Quality Control Officers and must exercise discretion in sharing, escalating, and resolving compliance findings that arise from testing activities, with the appropriate managers/executives.
- Review testing activities conducted by Quality Control Officers to evaluate employee performance, determine necessary skill development, provide feedback, and assess effectiveness of new and established review processes, recommending changes as applicable.
- Review and recommend changes to systems, processes, policies, procedures, and practices in the Consumer Lending business unit to ensure adequate controls are in place to reduce the risk of employee errors, oversights, non-compliance, and malfeasance.
- Review management responses to audit findings to determine if the response is adequate, compile data and prepare reports upon completion of monthly quality control reviews, and address exceptions and remedies as necessary.
- Responsible for supporting a team of Quality Control officers, who will be conducting regular presentations to senior management upon completion of reviews to address findings, exceptions, and general summaries of what was observed.
- Responsible for supporting quality control reviews of critical third-party vendors to verify that agreed protocols and contractual obligations are followed; compliance with applicable laws and regulations; corrective actions are taken when needed; and efficient service delivery.
- Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of Consumer Lending operations, systems, services, procedures, workflows, and training materials. Including establishing an understanding of system architecture in order to determine if audit findings are resulting from system or user errors.
- Responsible for using auditing governance frameworks and procedures to plan and manage auditing schedules, projects, teams, and tasks required to meet defined objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
**Education**: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
**Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education**:Three years of experience in consumer, credit card, and/or real estate lending, collections, and/or servicing, including knowledge of all applicable laws and regulations, or commensurate experience with a financial institution relating to oversight and compliance administration.

In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall within the minimum to midpoint of the listed range.
