**BASIC FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITY**:Assist Library Services in the administration of the campus library and technical resources. Perform routine clerical duties under direct supervision.**

**ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS**:High school diploma or equivalent and three months of related experience.**

**Instructional Support**:

- **Assist in providing instruction and support in using and managing library media center resources, including computers, computer carts, audiovisual resources, and other technical equipment.****:

- **Support the improvement of instruction.****:

- **Implement strategies and supports recommended by instructional and related service providers.****:

- **Support and participate in meeting the objectives of the campus/department improvement plan.***

**Student Support**:

- **Foster independence by scaffolding support as directed by the library media specialist.****:

- **Communicate with families under the direction of the library media specialist.****:

- **Assist in resolving parent/student issues and concerns in a timely manner.****:

- **Assist in managing student behavior in the library and common campus areas in accordance with Student Code of Conduct and student handbook.***

**Support of Administrative, Fiscal and/or Facilities Functions**:

- **Assist with preparation of instructional equipment and displays, and ensure specific materials, resources, and supplies are ready.****:

- **Manage check out and check in of incoming books, materials, and equipment, including library media specialist.****:

- **Maintain safe instructional area.****:

- **Perform clerical duties and assist with purchase orders, requisitions, and receiving and processing books, materials, and equipment.****:

- **Assist with library and inventory management and audits.****:

- **Provide assistance to campuses/departments as requested.***
