**Job Summary**:

- Maintains database by entering new and updated customer and insurance information after sample are processed in laboratory. Assure 100% accuracy with regards to content and spelling. Organize cases by type and ready for daily filing. Requires outreach to customers/clinics to validate incomplete information.**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Prepares source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information; establishing entry priorities.
- Processes customer and insurance source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies; resolving discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution.
- Enters customer and insurance data after samples are processed by laboratory.
- Double check their work and assure all data is in the case correctly.
- Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures.
- Verifies entered customer and insurance data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data.
- Contacts customer/clinic directly to validate incomplete information.
- Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
- Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Prepares requisitions to be filed daily.
- Other duties as assigned by Management.
- This role works with PHI on a regular basis both in paper and electronic form and have an access to various technologies to access PHI (paper and electronic) in order to perform the job
- Employee must complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and procedure Compliance training and security training as soon as possible but not later than the first 30 days of hire.
- Must maintain a current status on Natera training requirements.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
Organization, Typing, Data Entry Skills, Attention to Detail, Confidentiality, Thoroughness, Decision Making, Independence, Analyzing Information, Results Driven, Energy Level, At least 1 year of insurance experience is a plus

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES**:

- Required
- High School Diploma
- GED
- Preferred Bachelor's degree, or equivalent in Healthcare, Marketing, or Business related field
- At least 1 year of insurance experience is a plus

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT**:
Duties are typically performed in an office setting. This position requires the ability to use a computer keyboard, communicate over the telephone and read printed material. Duties may require working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends) at times.
