**Duties**:

- Serves as a senior operating loan specialist responsible for the execution of applicable Single family housing department loan and grant programs.
- Fosters mutually beneficial arrangements with such groups to maximize Single family housing program saturation, enhance community cohesiveness, and improve economic conditions in the area assigned.
- Processes difficult aspects of non-centralized post-acceleration actions/foreclosures and may participate in tribal foreclosures, as applicable.
- Administers the Single family housing repair loan and grant program for an assigned area.
- Participates in program reviews/compliance audits, including developing/revising processes and procedures to correct deficiencies.

**Qualifications**:

**Education**:
**_Undergraduate and Graduate Education:_** Major study - finance, business administration, economics, accounting, insurance, engineering, mathematics, banking and credit, law, real estate operations, statistics, or other fields related to the position, such as agriculture, agricultural economics, farm, livestock or ranch management, or rural sociology.

You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.

Applications will be evaluated in accordance with Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) Delegated Examining Procedures and USDA policy using category rating. Applicants who meet basic minimum qualifications will be placed in one of _two or three_ categories: Best Qualified, Well Qualified, or Qualified. Within these categories, applicants eligible for veteran's preference will receive selection priority over non-veterans. Category placement will be determined based on applicants' quality of experience and the extent they possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA) or competencies:

- Knowledge of single family housing building construction standards and costs, plans and specifications, cost estimates, and contracts and inspections
- Knowledge of single family housing loan making requirements
- Knowledge of single family housing servicing requirements such as credit counseling, security servicing, debt adjustment, inventory property, or other servicing requirements
