We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team for a busy Internal Medicine office. As a Medical Assistant, you will work alongside the doctor to provide exceptional patient care and support. Your role will involve taking vital signs, and providing administrative support.

**Duties**:

- Take and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Administer basic life support when necessary
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist with patient positioning
- Perform basic medical administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, and managing prior authorizations for medications
- Provide patient education on health conditions, medications, and treatment plans
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment

Preferred Requirements:

- Basic computer skills and knowledge
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in EHR a plus
- Proficient in medical terminology and documentation
- Knowledge of basic life support techniques
- Experience working in a front office setting
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide compassionate patient care
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in recording patient information
- References that will be contacted prior to extending offer of employment
