The Global Engineering and Construction Services (GECS) team is responsible for developing and driving holistic third party spend strategies for Engineering, Fabrication and Construction services, collaborating with internal stakeholder and bringing boldness and innovation to Intel's sourcing and supplier management for the construction of Intel Fabs across the globe.

In this role, you will work in a high growth, fast paced and constantly changing team. You will embrace ambiguity, be customer obsessed and collaborate across teams to develop novel approaches and solve the most complex business problems.

The Category Manager is an individual contributor who will lead internal analysis, external analysis, strategy development, negotiation & contracting of centralized contracts, supplier relationship management and performance measurement & continuous improvement for the Large Construction Category.

This position will work closely with management from design, engineering, finance, legal, and fab construction to deliver complex pre-fabrication solutions enabling Intel's manufacturing capacity.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Play an integral role in the development of multi-year global category strategies and plans across construction services categories.
- Ensure alignment of category plans and strategies to business priorities and functional objectives.
- Drive demand planning activities and development of should cost and total cost of ownership models for the category.
- Be part of multiple cross-functional teams executing major category initiatives, ensure delivery of results across the procurement process, contribute to the compliance tracking of category specific policies and performance metrics, and support the translation of rapidly evolving category market trends and leading practices into opportunities for Intel.
- Drive program level initiatives that can create benefits for all procurement activities as improving an existing process, implement cost saving initiatives, execute actions to increase supplier diversity, and the like.
- Proactively support the team through the construction contracting efforts and CFSC Life cycle: Strategic Sourcing Planning, Procurement Planning, Bid/Evaluate/Negotiate, and Execution.
- Source and qualify all critical suppliers to enable the execution of the work.
- Develop and present rationale for construction contracting and compensation strategies.
- Participate in the development and execution of contracts used to procure fabrication services supporting Intel construction projects.
- Understand market conditions and incorporate that knowledge into sourcing strategies.
- Role model standard business processes, ensure compliance with corporate fiscal, legal, environmental, and risk management policies in order to minimize and limit corporate liability, manage risk, and optimize value.
- Plan for and implement procurement systems necessary to support project procurement operations.
- Review and update working procedures, documents, and systems to keep pace with project requirements, competition, and market innovations.
- Maintain performance metrics to measure the performance of those responsible for cost savings, on time performance, and quality performance on project(s).

- 5+ years of multi-disciplined procurement experience
- 10+ years of category strategy development, strategic sourcing, and supplier management experience within engineering and construction categories.
