Job Summary:
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Job Duties:

- Significant involvement with the Board of Trustee and Committee meetings, including scheduling and facilitating meetings in accordance with open meeting laws and agency policies; recording, transcribing, and posting meeting minutes within established guidelines.
- Creating and updating written documents, presentations, and substantial documentation for multiple projects and meetings.
- Coordinating communication between ASRS membership, the general public, senior and executive management, and Board of Trustees. Assisting senior and executive management team with various routine and special projects, including monitoring and maintaining documentation, preparing reports, preparing both general and detailed correspondence, coordinating and managing travel and speaking engagements, and processing expense reports and invoices.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

- Minimum three years of administrative experience with a preference for supporting director-level professionals, board of trustees, and/or chief investment officers performing a full spectrum of administrative responsibilities.
- Minimum one year experience coordinating high-level meetings, including the preparation and posting of meeting minutes.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and diplomacy.
- Considerable knowledge of open meeting law and record retention and ability to ensure the agency’s compliance with these requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must publicly speak during public meetings.
- Professional demeanor.
- Must be tolerant of interruptions and able to address and resolve time-critical issues.
- Must be able to juggle multiple high-priority projects in a timely manner.
- Ability to work independently and use sound judgment in unanticipated situations.
- Ability to remain at work after regular business hours to conduct committee meetings as needed.

Selective Preference(s):

- Completion of a 1-2 year relevant community college/vocational program.
- Knowledge of pensions and investments.
