Office Manager/bookkeeper/personal Assistant

South Street Diner is a busy, family-owned restaurant with ~35 employees and has been in existence for 25 years. This world renowned Boston Landmark is the only 24 hour restaurant in the city of Boston. In addition, the owner is involved owns additional businesses.
Reporting directly to the owner, the office manager will be providing all financial tasks relating to the restaurant and the additional businesses. The office manager will provide administrative support to the owner for all businesses.
**Responsibilities**:
- Process bank deposits
- Pay all bills via QuickBooks
- Pay all monthly taxes
- Transfer of credit card income into appropriate bank accounts
- Process weekly payroll for ~35 employees
- Provide financial reports as requested by owner and/or accountant.
- Attend quarterly meetings with accountant or as needed
- Interact and establish relationships with vendors
- Order office supplies and miscellaneous supplies.
- Transport items from warehouse, office or restaurant. (Not weighing more than 50 #s.)
- Pick up products for restaurant or businesses
- Marketing with hotels and applicable contacts
- Maintain clean, organized office environment
- Assist owner with social media marketing - Facebook, Twitter, Google, Yelp, etc.
- Attend trainings and classes as needed
- Work with restaurant staff as needed
- Maintain filing systems for all businesses
- Work on various projects and tasks as they arise and/or requested by the owner
Qualifications:
- Excellent computer skills
- QuickBooks - must have full knowledge of all aspects of QuickBooks.
- Knowledge and prior use of:
Microsoft Office: Word, Excel & Calendar; Constant Contacts; Facebook; Twitter; Yelp
- Willing to learn IT, integration and point of sale systems, back up systems, security cameras and others as needed.
- Experience working in a fast
- paced environment
- Excellent Interpersonal Communication Skills
- Must be a team player and get along well with others
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
- Must be flexible and able to change priorities as they arise
Work Environment:
- The work environment is in the owners home office in Malden near train line.
- Dogs are on premises at home office.
- Some light lifting will be required.
- No smoking
Miscellaneous:
Reliable transportation is required.
Provide support for additional businesses as needed.
Compensation varies upon experience
30- 40 hours per week depending on availability.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
