**Position Summary**:
The Assistant Director’s primary responsibility is to support the Arizona CTE Curriculum Consortium’s drive to Craft Curriculum and Connect Educators by advancing initiatives that deliver consistent high-quality instructional resources designed to meet the needs of CTE teachers, stakeholders, member organizations, and partners, in a fast-moving, ever-changing environment.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
The list of essential functions is not exhaustive and may be supplemented.
- Assist the director in providing leadership to the consortium through collaborative development and effective implementation of the strategic plan
- Coordinate CTE Curriculum Connection (site) and instructional resource training for member districts including synchronous and asynchronous opportunities
- Oversee and coordinate the management of and updates to the CTE Curriculum Connection including the publication of curriculum and curation of OER resources
- Manage pages and updates on the ctecaz.org website
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and oversight of teacher writers in the revision and development of curriculum
- Assist the director in coordinating AZCTECC staff writers in the revision and development of curriculum
- Assist the director in meeting grant goals including coordinating the development of curricular and instructional resources
- Maintain accurate and current site user records and update user lists annually
- Assist the director in coordinating Consortium steering committee meetings and communicate with steering committee members
- Coordinate and implement regular site and social media outreach and awareness campaigns
- Assist the director with the creation and delivery of relevant conference session presentations on behalf of the consortium
- Co-chair AZCTECC committees as needed
- Promote membership to non-Consortium districts, CTEDs, schools, and organizations
- Assist the director in working with the Pima JTED Chief Financial Officer to maintain accurate financial records
- Assist the director in pursuing grant and alternative funding proposals to support Consortium
- Establish and maintain exemplary professional relationships with designees, CTE directors, CTED superintendents, teachers, ADE staff, and partners
- Assist the director in communications with member district designees to maintain member district records, IGA’s/MOUs, and user account information
- Encourage innovations to improve consortium operations and advance the organization’s strategic plan and guiding actions
- Analyze, interpret, and organize data to support the consortium’s driver’s statement and guiding actions

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Valid Arizona teaching certificate
- A bachelor’s degree AND three years of successful teaching experience OR any equivalent combination of experience and education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved
- Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Valid AZ driver’s license and willingness to regularly travel in-state, as needed
- Proof of MMR immunization required unless born prior to January 1, 157
- Negative TB test within the last year
- Ability and willingness to work outside the traditional working hours and calendar of teachers, including evenings, weekends, and summers

- Knowledge of Career and Technical Education and the CTE Delivery Model
- Educational leadership in the profession through membership and participation in Career and Technical Education organizations preferred
