**Job Summary**

The Assistant Production Manager is responsible for leading the daily installation efforts of our Window and Door projects with a focus on employee training, quality installation and customer care. This role reports to the Production Manager.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**
- Supervise the daily activities of Window & Door installations to ensure that volume, cost, waste, and quality and service standards are met.
- Effectively communicate with Installers, Foreman, Install Project Managers and other staff to ensure quality installation and happy customers.
- Monitors installation activity, identifies process problems, troubleshoots causes and develops solutions.
- Works closely with Department Administrator to coordinate work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequences to maximize productivity.
- Participate in the design and buildout of our in-house Installer Apprentice Program for new employees and ongoing training opportunities.
- Manage our initial installation Service and Warranty process.
- Address escalated customer service issues with professionalism and mind for customer satisfaction and the bottom line so that everyone ‘wins.’
- Serve as a safety education resource for installation staff including OSHA regulations and general worksite safety.

**Education and Experience**
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- College degree preferred.
- At least 2 years of construction or remodeling experience required.

**Required Skills**:

- Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License is required with a good driving record.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and customer tracking software such as CRM preferred.

**Work Environment**
- The majority of the working conditions and physical demands are normal for an office or home environment. A small percentage of the physical environment could require the employee to conduct business both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, dry/arid conditions while visiting job sites.
- The work schedule is typically Monday - Friday 6:30am to 3:30pm. Can also include some later afternoons and weekends as needed.
- 20% travel required in and around Dane County. The remaining 80% is at our Waunakee office.
