RenewAire, the leading manufacturer in Energy Recovery Ventilation, is searching for a people-centered Production Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of Commercial and Residential assembly operations with strong emphasis and adherence to Quick Response Manufacturing principles and practices. The Production Manager will also serve on the Operations Leadership Team (OLT) and play an integral role in the tactical and strategic activities of the Operations groups as a whole. This will include but is not limited to strategic planning, department and individual goal setting cross functional problem solving, policy development and deployment.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and supervise all assembly functions to include all ERV Residential and Commercial assembly, & Core & FSK assembly.
  • Lead and supervise the assembly Senior. Lead staff.
  • Coach and support production technicians daily, forming teams and assigning tasks according to production schedule needs.
  • Ensure adequate time is spent on the shop floor, as workflow requires.
  • With Manufacturing Engineering, maintain and improve all shop floor and production processes and procedures. Act as agent for daily continuous improvement.
  • Ensure high performance and effective employee relations.
  • Create and maintain a high trust culture within production teams
  • Apply effective change management methods and principles when and where appropriate.
  • Responsible for the selection, training, and evaluations of employees in assembly.
  • Maintain and improve training and evaluation procedures.
  • Develop personal and team growth opportunities in consultation with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop professional and technical knowledge
  • Drive standard work processes across the operations organization with their peer managers.
Team Coordination / Primary Point of Contact
  • In close coordination with the Operations Leadership Team, identify and enforce processes required to maximize material availability and minimize parts related white space.
  • Establish and maintain a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Ensure products are built according to approved Engineering and Production specifications and meet all established quality and safety standards.
  • Coordinate and ensure completion of documentation per procedures for all Engineering, Production Support and Shipping
  • Be a key team member in new product development and introduction efforts.
  • Promote and ensure safe working practices and conditions,
  • As Safety Lead for manufacturing, ensure safe work practices and a high awareness of the importance of safety within operations. Participate in plant wide safety initiatives to promote a safety-first culture throughout the plant.
Team Project Management
  • Work with the Operations Leadership Team (OLT) to promote and coordinate the identification of product improvement, QRM related and other improvement ideas, and the projects needed to implement.
  • Participate as a core member on Quick Product Development (QPD) projects.
  • Along with the OLT, lead coordination of QPD projects into production and prepare production functions for a successful launch and learning curve before, during and after launch.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Operations Management, Engineering or equivalent combination of education and work experience is required
  • Minimum 5-10 years of relevant manufacturing management experience required to include multi-department and/or plant level responsibility.
  • Computer proficiency required with ability to utilize Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook) and knowledge of MRP/ERP
  • Knowledge of scheduling practices and capacity analysis.
  • Familiarity with accounting principles P & L and budgeting.
COMPETENCIES
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing / QRM principles along with direct experience applying them in an operational environment
  • Must have the ability to read and understand engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and other manufacturing instructions
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate with co-workers, and interdepartmental employee
  • Must be detail oriented with a strong sense of urgency, and the ability to organize and prioritize
  • Must have strong leadership skills and the ability to coach, motivate and positively influence others along with experience leading and developing other supervisors and leaders
