Westford Dermatology is looking to hire a medical assistant for our growing practice. We have recently expanded and are looking to hire additional medical assistants that can assist with both clinical and clerical responsibilities.

**Specialty**:Dermatology

**Schedule**: 8 hour shifts

**Administrative Duties (may include, but not limited to)**:

- Answering telephones
- Greeting patients
- Updating and filing patient medical records
- Scheduling appointments
- Arranging for laboratory services
- Handling correspondence
- Prior Authorizations

**Clinical Duties (may include, but not limited to)**:

- Taking medical histories
- Explaining treatment procedures to patients
- Preparing patients for examination
- Assisting the physician during exams
- Clean and sterilize surgical tools
- Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
- Instructing patients about medication
- Preparing and administering medications as directed by a physician
- Authorizing prescription refills as directed
- Removing sutures and changing dressings
- Patient Liaison

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
